Benshaw Inc., a Pittsburgh-based producer of motor controls and drives, announced Tuesday that it finalized an agreement to acquire Aucom Electronics LTD, a New Zealand-based manufacturer of soft starters.
Pete Morgan, the former general manager of Aucom North America, has been named president of Benshaw Inc., effective immediately. Before his employment at Aucom, Morgan was general manager of Benshaw’s OEM Division.
The combined organization’s global operations now include facilities in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, the Middle East, and Asia.
“The integration of Benshaw and Aucom provides a bright future for the entire organization,” Fran Livingston, executive chairman at Benshaw, said. “We believe the acquisition of Aucom provides an incredible opportunity that will benefit Benshaw and Aucom customers, our employees, and our entire network of distributors across North America and around the world.”
