PPL Electric Utilities recognized for improved reliability

PA Consulting recently presented PPL Electric Utilities with the 2019 ReliabilityOne Most Improved Utility Award.

The award recognizes utility companies that have achieved substantial improvements in reliability. All utilities that operate electric delivery networks in North America are eligible to be considered for the award.

Our customers benefit from a top-performing and resilient grid, and we continue to improve to meet the demands of a changing energy landscape that includes more and more renewable power sources, like solar and wind.”

PPL noted that it has reduced outages by 30 percent from 2011, that its average availability for the past three years has been 99.99 percent and that transmission-related outages have declined by 75 percent since 2013.
