East Penn, a manufacturer of lead batteries and accessories, recently launched its Fahrenheit battery technology for commercial truck applications.

The battery uses Thermal Shielding Technology to extend battery life in varying climates and with increased battery box temperatures and key-off power demands.

More than three-quarters of U.S. freight is moved via commercial trucks. Extended battery life means fleets can operate smoother and run longer. Mechanics and drivers will also experience fewer unexpected repairs and emergency servicing.

East Penn also has launched a website dedicated to the battery. It includes a video, testimonials, tools and resources, and a hotline contact form.

“There are more demands, changes, and pressures than ever before,” East Penn said on its website. “When operating, managing, servicing, or specifying a fleet, you should be able to protect your trucks, drivers, customer, and your budget. Products need to last, especially batteries, because trucks need to run and more downtime ruins everything.”

The website can be accessed at https://fahrenheit31.com/.

East Penn manufactures batteries for automotive, commercial truck, telecommunication, marine, Uninterruptible Power Supply, and motive power applications. Headquartered in Lyon Station, the company also has a facility in Corydon, Iowa. The company began in 1946 in Bowers rebuilding old batteries.
