Penske opens new facility in Erie

Penske Truck Leasing, a partnership between Penske Corp., Penske Automotive Group and Mitsui & Co., recently opened a full-service truck leasing, truck rental and contract truck fleet maintenance facility in Erie.

The 10,500-square-foot facility is located on seven acres and includes an automatic wash bay and two and a half truck bays. The preventive maintenance process and connected fleet solutions services are fully digital and voice-directed.

Automation assists customers with issues and options related to onboard technology systems.

“Centrally located in between Pittsburgh, Cleveland, and Buffalo, Penske Erie is the ideal location offering our customers additional Penske resources in the region,” Dan O’Boyle, senior vice president for Penske’s North Central Region, said. “We look forward to continuing to work with our existing customers in the area as well as welcoming new customers.”

The company currently is hiring maintenance technicians.

Penske leases, rents and maintains light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty commercial vehicles that run off traditional and alternative fuels. The company provides cargo vans, semi-trailers, refrigerated trucks and trailers, flatbeds, and straight trucks.

The company also offers used truck sales, transportation and warehousing management, and supply chain management solutions.

Penske Truck Leasing Co. is headquartered in Reading and has more than 1,100 locations on five continents.
