Lulus, an apparel brand for women, plans to open a 250,000-square-foot distribution facility in Palmer Township, Northampton County.
The company will be investing at least $6 million into the project, and the facility will serve as the company’s East Coast warehouse. It will handle shipping and returns.
Over three years, 464 jobs are expected to be created.
“The Lehigh Valley has become one of the fastest-growing e-commerce hubs within the United States,” Gov. Tom Wolf said. “The addition of Lulus is more evidence that Pennsylvania has the location, workforce, and business climate that companies are looking for. We are thrilled to welcome Lulus to the commonwealth and looking forward to even more exciting development in the years to come.”
The Department of Community and Economic Development submitted to Lulus a funding proposal for $464,000 in job-creation tax credits. The credits would be distributed when the new jobs are created.
A $208,800 workforce development grant was included in the proposal to help the company train its existing workers.
Lulus joins Amazon, FedEx, QVC, UPS, and Walmart as the latest company to establish a presence in the Lehigh Valley.
Lulus was founded in 1996 and became an entirely e-retailer in 2008.
