Lucas Systems, an enterprise software and mobile applications business, plans to expand operations and open a headquarters in Wexford.
The company purchased a 45,000-square-foot building close to its current Wexford location and plans to establish its new headquarters there.
The company received $165,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits and a Department of Community and Economic Development funding proposal for a $50,000 Pennsylvania First grant.
Tax credits will become available upon the creation of the new jobs. The $7.3 million project is forecasted to create 55 new, full-time jobs and the retain 66 existing jobs over the next three years.
The project was coordinated by the Governor’s Action Team, which is comprised of a group of economic development professionals who work with businesses that are considering locating or expanding in Pennsylvania. The group reports to the governor.

Lucas Systems’ products are used by warehouses and distribution centers in Asia, Europe, and North America.
