Camp Hill-based accounting and business advisory services firm McKonly & Asbury recently acquired Bloomsburg-based tax and business services firm Brewer & Co.
The purchase is part of McKonly & Asbury’s strategy to expand geographically while adding talented people who will help the firm grow.
“Since our founding, our approach has been to grow organically as well as to acquire firms with a similar culture and superior client service mindset,” Kurt Trimarchi, managing partner of McKonly & Asbury, said. “The effort we have put into this acquisition is to strive for an excellent outcome for our clients, our team, and our firm and this is certainly an exciting step forward for McKonly & Asbury.”
Daniel Brewer owned Brewer & Co. for the past 17 years. The firm provides tax compliance, auditing and back-office consulting. The firm’s Bloomsburg office will remain open.
Joining McKonly & Asbury allows Brewer & Co. to become part of a regional accounting and advisory firm and to provide a wider array of services and expertise, Brewer said.
On Jan. 1, McKonly & Asbury purchased 25 percent of its client, the Dale Carnegie Mid-Atlantic franchise. The franchise provides communication, customer engagement, leadership, management development, and sales programs.
