The PA Chamber Foundation announced Tuesday that it is partnering with Solutions 21 and their “Next Leader Now” program to help companies address skills gaps by preparing their next generation of leaders.

“The jobs skills gap facing the Commonwealth isn’t just for entry-level positions – it impacts all levels of a company’s employment structure,” PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr said. “Looking ahead to make sure there’s a pipeline of leadership talent ready to step in and move their company forward is a vital component to a business’ long-term ability to thrive. We’re excited to work with Solutions 21 to offer this dynamic leadership program to employers throughout the Commonwealth.”

“Next Leader Now” is a customizable, year-long, researched-based development approach designed to ensure a company has a strong succession plan in place for its future leaders.

“With a wealth of in-depth research, Next Leader Now prepares high-potential candidates to transition from individual contributors to next-generation leaders by incorporating the latest in 21st-century leadership, business, and social sciences,” Solutions 21 Founder and President Buddy Hobart said. “A program derived from our book, Gen Y Now: Millennials and the Evolution of Leadership, Next Leader Now ensures that succession candidates from across all industry verticals are prepared for the inevitable demographic shift and unprecedented workforce challenges they will encounter as they transition into leadership roles.”

The program will be offered in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg and includes four in-person workshops. Classes are limited to 20 attendees.
