Team Pennsylvania names five to board of directors

Nonpartisan public-private partnership Team Pennsylvania confirmed five business leaders to its board of directors at its annual meeting at the governor’s residence on June 6.

“Our new board members have a great wealth of experience in economic development, manufacturing, energy, international business, education and workforce development,” Team Pennsylvania said. “They represent many different regions from across Pennsylvania, and we are very much looking forward to collaborating with this prominent group of Pennsylvania leaders.”

The new board members are Lisa M. Dell’Alba, president and CEO of Square One Markets; Michael Kraft, senior vice president and general manager of Lycoming Engines; Morgan O’Brien, president and CEO of Peoples Natural Gas Co.; Melissa Shafer, assistant vice president of government relations and community affairs at St. Luke’s University Health Network; and Art Stephens, managing director of Deloitte.

During the meeting, Team Pennsylvania also confirmed the transition between outgoing private sector co-chairman Stephen S. Tang and incoming co-chairman Anthony Bartolomeo. The chairmen serve a two-year term.

Tang is president and CEO of OraSure Technologies while Bartolomeo is president of Pennoni Associates and the former vice chairman.

The partnership aims to initiate and support innovative programs to improve economic development in the state and strengthen the workforce.
