PPG launches ENVIROLUXE Plus powder coatings

Pittsburgh-based PPG, a paint, coatings and specialty materials company, recently launched PPG ENVIROLUXE Plus, powder coatings that include up to 18 percent post-industrial recycled plastic and are made without without per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances.

“PPG EnviroLuxe Plus powder coatings not only enhance the durability and aesthetic appeal of products but also reflect our commitment to sustainability,” Shelley Verdun, PPG business manager, powder coatings, industrial coatings, said. “The advanced technology behind these coatings ensures superior performance, providing long-lasting protection while helping applicators minimize their carbon footprint and supporting their sustainability goals.”

PPG EnviroLuxe Plus is part of the PPG EnviroLuxe powder coating family. The product family includes coatings designed to combine performance and aesthetics with sustainability benefits. Products in the PPG EnviroLuxe powder coating family are engineered for a wide range of end-use applicationss and are available in standard and custom colors.

PPG EnviroLuxe Plus’ sustainability benefits include low volatile organic compound emissions, transfer efficiency and reclaimable overspray, and the elimination of polytetrafluoroethylene fluoropolymer. Elimination achieves up to a 30 percent reduction in carbon footprint compared to standard durable powders.
