Quaker Houghton releases sustainability report

Conshohocken-based Quaker Houghton, an industrial process fluids company, recently released its 2024 sustainability report, which details progress the company has made toward its goals and its commitment to sustainability.

“Sustainability remains core to Quaker Houghton and how we operate,” Joseph Berquist, Quaker Houghton CEO and president, said. “The significant progress made in 2024 highlights our commitment and ability to adapt, while continuing to move the world forward safely and sustainably. I am proud of the advancements we have made, and the external validation of this momentum, including once again achieving the EcoVadis Silver Award. Moving forward, we will continue to make data-driven decisions to inform and assess our ambitions, to best align with our enterprise strategy and the needs of our customers, Company and communities in which we operate.”

According to the report, the company achieved 90 percent of its internal goals.

Additionally, when compared to 2023, the average hours of employee training increased 75 percent, and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions were reduced 7 percent.

Since 2022, more than 70,000 metric tons of waste were eliminated, including more than 23,000 metric tons in 2024.

Slightly more than 75 percent of the company’s global electricity consumption is sourced from renewable or zero carbon sources.
