Utz appoints new chief financial officer

Hanover-based Utz Brands, a branded salty snacks manufacturer, recently appointed William Kelley Jr. as executive vice president, chief financial officer and principal accounting officer, effective May 1.

Kelley comes to Utz from Tropicana Brands Group where he was global chief financial officer. He succeeds Ajay Kataria who is stepping down.

“Bill brings deep financial expertise and operational experience across some of the most respected names in food and beverage,” Howard Friedman, Utz CEO, said. “We are excited to welcome him to Utz as we continue executing on our long-term growth strategy. I want to extend our gratitude to Ajay for his leadership and impact over the past eight years, the last four as CFO — his contributions were many, including as part of our public listing in 2020, multiple acquisitions and integrations, as well as a major ERP installation; all were instrumental in building our financial foundation.”

Utz also announced that Jeremy Stuart has been appointed executive vice president and sales and chief customer officer. Stuart is the current senior vice president, large format. He succeeds Mark Schreiber who is retiring on May 31.

Utz Brands has manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. Its portfolio includes Boulder Canyon, On The Border Chips & Dips, Utz and Zapp’s brands.
