Norwood Financial Corp.’s Susan Campfield retired from the company’s board of directors, effective Feb. 18.

“I have enjoyed supporting this great bank and all of the good it has done and is doing in the communities that we serve,” Campfield said. “It has been one of the real honors of my professional life.”

Campfield has served the company for 19 years and joined the board of directors in 2006 where she provided the board with expertise on the local economy and business opportunities.

Prior to joining Norwood Financial, Campfield served for more than 33 years as president and CEO of Paupack-based Gumble Brothers, a building material supplier. In that role, she worked with numerous contractors and builders and learned about the local construction market.

Norwood Financial Corp. was created in 1996 as the holding company for Honesdale-based
Wayne Bank. The bank has $2 billion in assets and operates 30 offices in Northeastern Pennsylvania and upstate New York. Offices include those operating under the Bank of the Finger Lakes and the Bank of Cooperstown brands.

Wayne Bank has expanded this century, experiencing significant growth into Lackawanna and Luzerne counties as well as in New York’s Delaware, Ontario, Otsego Sullivan, and Yates counties.
