Philadelphia-based Five Below, a high-growth value retailer offering products for teens and pre-teens, recently announced it has appointed Winnie Park as CEO and a member of the board of directors, effective Dec. 16.

“Winnie is a passionate retail visionary with a deep understanding of the consumer and the power at the intersection of trend and value,” Thomas Vellios, Five Below co-founder, said. “The breadth of her leadership experience, especially her merchandising expertise, customer acumen, strong global background, and importantly, how she values people and champions organizational culture all make her uniquely suited for the role.”

Park has more than three decades of retail experience and specializes in brand building, merchandising and driving customer-centric business strategies. Most recently, she served as Forever 21 CEO. She was tasked with leading a brand refresh with a social-media-first approach that engaged customers. She previously served as Paper Source CEO and held several leadership roles with Duty Free Shoppers.

Park also served on the Dollar Tree board of directors, worked at McKinsey in fashion retail and consumer digital, and led Women’s Merchandising for Dockers at Levi Strauss & Co.

Five Below operates more than 1,750 stores in 44 states with most items priced between $1 and $5.
