Massachusetts-based Little Leaf Farms, a controlled environment agriculture (CEA) company, recently announced it is expanding its McAdoo campus.

Earlier this month, the company opened a third greenhouse. A fourth greenhouse is expected to open during autumn 2025. The two greenhouses add an additional 20 acres of greenhouse space.

Expansion supports Little Leaf Farms’ rapid growth, allowing it to expand its retail presence throughout the Northeast, Southeast and Midwest regions.

“Our continued expansion in Pennsylvania will advance our progress against our goals to grow our capacity and bring our lettuce to more and more consumers throughout the country,” Paul Sellew, Little Leaf Farms founder and CEO, said. “We’re incredibly excited about this new milestone of being the fastest growing packaged salad brand and believe it’s true evidence of not only the promise of CEA, but also our efficiency in scaling our operations to enable the broadening of our retailer footprint.”

The new McAdoo greenhouses are the company’s sixth and seventh greenhouses.

Little Leaf Farms serves more than 7,000 grocery stores and reaches 66 percent more U.S. households now than compared to 2023. It is considering new sites in the Midwest and Southeast, regions where it has reached and doubled its household penetration.
