Radnor-based Triumph Group, an aerospace and defense systems and components manufacturer, recently announced it created a Thermal Solutions Development Center in its existing Triumph Systems Electronics and Controls business in West Hartford, Conn.
“Triumph is excited to announce the opening of our new Thermal Solutions Development Center, a key milestone in the development of our industry leading thermal capabilities,” Justin Wolfanger, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls president, said. “This lab will provide a vital service to our growing customer base as it allows for the complete test and performance mapping of new thermal products and system solutions.”
In 2015, Triumph purchased Fairchild Controls, a designer and manufacturer of vapor cycle based thermal systems solutions, and relocated the business to the West Hartford facility. The center highlights Triumph’s expanding thermal capabilities including complete thermal management system solutions built around the company’s intellectual property in vapor cycle compressors.
The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development and Connecticut Innovations supported the project with funding Triumph will use to purchase machinery and equipment and make improvements.
The state also upgraded the power infrastructure at the West Hartford plant.
TRIUMPH Systems, Electronics and Controls designs, develops, manufactures, repairs, and overhauls accessories, aerospace and defense components, aircraft thermal management systems, subassemblies, and systems.
