Ansys, an engineering simulation software company, recently signed a definitive agreement with DYNAmore Holding GmbH to purchase its DYNAmore business.
German-based DYNAmore develops and sells explicit simulation solutions to the automotive industry. In 2019, Ansys acquired Livermore Software Technology Corp., a DYNAmore channel and software development partner.
Once the transaction closes, DYNAmore will sell Ansys LS-DYNA throughout Europe as an Ansys channel partner focused primarily on the automotive industry. Ansys will add DYNAmore’s expertise to its engineering, research and development, and sales teams.
“DYNAmore is an amazing company that offers unparalleled automotive crash expertise to the industry,” Walt Hearn, Ansys vice president of worldwide sales and customer excellence, said. “Adding their invaluable knowledge to Ansys’ direct selling motion will add tremendous benefits to our customers in Europe and across the globe.”
DYNAmore employs approximately 110 people throughout Europe and North America. It has approximately 800 industrial customers, including seven of the world’s largest automotive suppliers, nine of the top 10 original equipment manufacturers, and more than 150 universities.
The deal is expected to close during the first quarter of 2023 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
In addition to automotive, DYNAmore’s developers assist with the core development of Ansys LS-DYNA and dummy and human body models.
