Farm Bureau presents Rep. Keller with award for congressional work supporting Pennsylvania farmers, ranchers

U.S. Rep. Fred Keller

The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) recently presented U.S. Rep. Fred Keller (R-PA 12th District) with the Friend of Farm Bureau Award.

The award recognizes members of Congress who support the bureau’s position on policy issues through their voting records. Keller was recognized for his work in Congress to support Pennsylvania’s farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers.

The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau nominated Keller for the award. State farm bureaus nominate members of Congress. The American Farm Bureau Federation Board must approve nominations and select the issues for which voting records are examined.

“As food prices increase, adding to the historic inflation facing American families, we must do everything we can to alleviate pressures on our farmers and allow them to do what they do best—feed our families,” Keller said in a statement following the award. “I am fighting to ensure the continued success of Pennsylvania’s agriculture industry by reversing overly burdensome regulations and barriers that have caused needless uncertainty for farmers, ranchers, and working families. Whether it’s been at a county fair, the PA Farm Show, or a family farm, I always enjoy meeting with our farmers and learning about the issues important to them and their families.”

Keller will publicly receive the reward soon.
