Phoenix Tube Co., a stainless steel long products manufacturer focused on ornamental and structural tubing, has committed $8.1 million to expand its Bethlehem operations.
The company plans to build a 52,000-square-foot facility on two acres it owns adjacent to its existing facility. A new production line will manufacture small diameter stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloy pressure tubing used by the construction industry.
The project is expected to retain 135 jobs and create 30 full-time positions in the next three years.
“We are very excited to add to our product offerings and enter new markets that will enable us to continue to grow and expand our company,” said Andrew Reale, president, and David Reale, CEO, of Phoenix Tube. “All of us at Phoenix Tube are very grateful to the state and local leaders who worked on our behalf to aid in this project. For over 40 years, we have been a proud member of both the state and local business communities, and this commitment further strengthens our relationships.”
The Department of Community and Economic Development submitted a funding proposal for a $50,000 workforce development grant to train new workers, a $90,000 Pennsylvania First grant, and a $2.65 million in Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority loans.
