Pittsburgh-based Evoqua Water Technologies recently completed its purchase of Smith Engineering, a Minnesota-based company that designs, manufactures, and services custom high purity water treatment equipment for an undisclosed amount.
The purchase allows Evoqua to enhance its high purity water treatment systems portfolio and expand its North American service footprint.
“We are delighted to welcome the Smith Engineering team to the Evoqua family,” Ron Keating, Evoqua CEO, said. “With the close of this transaction, Evoqua is well-positioned to expand its service footprint to provide proven water solutions for our customers in key markets.”
The deal was announced in June. Smith Engineering became part of Evoqua’s Integrated Solutions and Services segment.
Smith Engineering offers a variety of water treatment products and services, including deionization, filtration, reverse osmosis, ultra-pure water systems, and UV, to the biotech/pharmaceutical, data center, food and beverage, healthcare, medical device, and microelectronics markets.
