Yardley, Pa.-based Crown Holdings, a global supplier of rigid packaging products to consumer marketing companies, recently announced its latest aluminum beverage can manufacturing facility will be located in Mesquite, Nev.

The 355,000-square foot facility will be located in the Mesquite Technology and Commerce Center.  It is expected to begin operations during the second quarter of 2023 and will create 126 jobs.

“This investment, underpinned by long-term customer contracts, continues to demonstrate Crown’s commitment to meet the increased demand for aluminum beverage cans,” Timothy J. Donahue, Crown president and CEO, said. “Consumers continue to seek beverage options predominantly in cans and are increasingly aware of the sustainability benefits of the aluminum can.”

The new facility will supply standard and specialty beverage cans to the company’s customers.  In addition, it will allow Crown to better serve existing customers in the Western United States, and support growth of new beverage introductions in aluminum cans.

Crown’s customers include manufacturers of sparkling water, carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks, hard seltzers, and beer and ready-to-drink cocktails.

Donahue thanked the company’s partners for their coordinated efforts for the expansion.

Crown Holdings, and its subsidiaries, provide transit and protective packaging products, equipment and services to a broad range of end markets in addition to rigid packaging products.
