Intervala, a precision electronic and electromechanical products manufacturer, recently finalized plans to relocate its corporate headquarters and Pennsylvania manufacturing operations to the Westmoreland Innovation Center in Westmoreland County.

The Regional Industrial Development Corporation of Southwestern Pennsylvania (RIDC) and the county revitalized the 2.8 million square foot, 350-acre industrial park. It houses 1 million-square-feet of leased space.

Intervala signed a five-year lease for the 217,000-square-foot space, including several extension options. The space is significantly larger than its current location and will allow the company to grow, Intervala said.

“We are thrilled with the many opportunities our new location provides, including the ability to design the best possible manufacturing experience for our customers and work environment for our employees,” Intervala President and CEO Teresa Huber said. “In addition, the site provides significant room for expansion as our business providing full-service manufacturing of complex, high-performance printed circuit board assemblies, electromechanical systems, and cable and harness assemblies continues to grow.”

The new location will incorporate environmental controls, manufacturing and inspection technologies, top-of-the-line engineering, line-of-sight manufacturing, and state-of-the-art ESD. The company said these technologies are expected to provide maximum efficiency, quality, and throughput in the production area.

A customer welcome area, employee facilities, and office and collaboration spaces will be built.
