The GIANT Co. is hiring 4,000 full- and part-time seasonal employees to meet customer demand.
Positions will be for the GIANT direct facilities in Lancaster and Camp Hill, the distribution center in Carlisle, and stores chain-wide. Store positions include stock positions, cashiers, the deli, and other fresh departments.
The company also is hiring delivery drivers and order selectors.
GIANT has nearly 190 stores in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland. A new Harrisburg location opens Oct. 23.
“We’re excited to see the team coming together for our new store in Harrisburg, and we’re looking for even more caring and enthusiastic team members,” Matthew Lutcavage, GIANT vice president of human resources, said. “With the increased demand for both in-store and online grocery shopping continuing, we are looking to hire in all areas of the business throughout the holiday season and beyond, helping us deliver on our purpose of connecting families for a better future while having fun along the way.”
New employees will receive robust training, Lutcavage said.
So far this year, the company has hired approximately 7,000 part-time and temporary employees.
GIANT began offering qualifying employees parental leave benefits last year. Four weeks paid leave are provided following the birth, adoption, or legal placement of a child.
