Turkey Hill, an ice cream and refrigerated drinks manufacturer and distributor, recently acquired an ice cream and novelty production facility from Yarnell Ice Cream that is located in Searcy, Ark.
“Over the last year, Turkey Hill has experienced strong and growing consumer demand nationwide, and the strategic location of this facility will enable us to serve consumers across the United States for years to come,” Tim Hopkins, Turkey Hill CEO, said. “We look forward to welcoming the employees at the Searcy facility to our Turkey Hill family.”
The company will use the 100,000-square-foot facility will produce ice cream and frozen novelties. It has entered into a co-manufacturing agreement and will also produce ice cream for the Yarnell’s brand.
In addition to expanding its market geographically, the company is investing in expanding the capacity of existing production lines, adding personnel and facility enhancements to support its associates.
Turkey Hill’s flagship facility is one of the largest ice cream and refrigerated drinks production facilities in the country. It is located on more than 72 acres along the Susquehanna River.
Turkey Hill was founded in 1931 in Lancaster County and was acquired by an affiliate of Peak Rock Capital in 2019.
