President Donald Trump is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the ninth annual SHALE INSIGHT conference Oct. 23 in Pittsburgh.
The American shale energy conference focuses on innovation, the industry’s future, and policy.
Trump is expected to discuss national security, environmental progress, and the role domestic energy development has on America’s economic growth.
“The abundant and clean natural gas safely produced across Appalachia provides good-paying careers for hundreds of thousands of hard-working Americans, especially in our building and union trades,” David Spigelmyer, Marcellus Shale Coalition (MSC) president, said. “President Trump recognizes the economic, environmental, and national security significance of responsible American energy development, and we’re excited and grateful to welcome him back to SHALE INSIGHT.”
Full conference attendees, invited guests, and the general public can hear Trump speak, but will be required to have media credentials, general admission wristbands or official registration passes before entering the convention center.
Trump previously spoke at the conference in 2016.
SHALE INSIGHT is hosted by MSC, the West Virginia Oil and Natural Gas Association, and the Ohio Oil and Gas Association.
MSC was founded in 2008 and works to address issues regarding the use, production, and transportation of natural gas from the Marcellus and Utica Shale plays.
