The International Economic Development Council (IEDC), the world’s largest organization serving economic developers, recently presented the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corp. (LVEDC) with two awards.

IEDC presented LVEDC with an Excellence in Economic Development Gold Award for its 2018 Annual Report, and a Silver Award for its Made Possible in Lehigh Valley video.

LVEDC competed against economic development organizations from areas with a population of 500,000 or more.

Michelle Chrin designed the 32-page 2018 LVEDC Annual Report that provides an overview of economic development and business projects in the Lehigh Valley. The report was released in March.

The annual report also won an IEDC award last year.

Firerock Productions created LVEDC’s two-minute video to increase outside awareness of the positive attributes of Lehigh Valley. The video was used earlier this year for the kicked off for the Made Possible in Lehigh Valley initiative.

“We’re pleased that this video continues to generate such widespread attention because it truly embodies what Made Possible in Lehigh Valley is all about,” Mike Keller, LVEDC director of marketing, said. “Made Possible is a storytelling platform through which we are sharing the stories and perspectives of individuals and companies here in Lehigh Valley.”

The video also was nominated for a Mid-Atlantic Emmy.
