MOBILion Systems, Inc., a life science company developing an analytical instrument platform for drug discovery, development, and diagnosis, recently opened its new company headquarters in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
The new 10,000-square-foot facility includes expanded product development, applications development, and customer demonstration laboratories. One applications development laboratory at the site is dedicated to research for MOBILion partners in the pharmaceutical, clinical research, and diagnostics industries who want pre-product launch access to MOBILion’s proprietary Structures for Lossless Ion Mobility (SLIM) technology. SLIM technology advances the capabilities of current liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) workflows, enabling a multi-dimensional analysis of biologically relevant molecules with high levels of resolution and throughput. MOBILion’s products are designed to enhance mass spectrometry workflows, increase instrument uptime, reduce costs, and accelerate discoveries by significantly increasing resolution and decreasing sample analysis time.
“MOBILion’s new headquarters supports our rapidly growing team and helps us advance our goal of engaging with pharmaceutical, clinical, and academic researchers to enable novel discoveries,” Melissa Sherman, CEO of MOBILion, said. “Our expanded applications development facility provides early access to MOBILion’s SLIM technology for both existing and future partners striving to address resolution and throughput challenges in biologics characterization and accelerate drug and biomarker discovery.”
At the grand opening of the facility last week, MOBILion invited leaders from the academic and pharmaceutical industries to tour the new headquarters. In honor of Down syndrome awareness month, the event was also a benefit for PALS programs, which provides a place for young adults with Down syndrome and their peers to have fun, grow as individuals, and build transformative friendships. Through the event, MOBILion raised $4,500 for the charity.
