PPG, a paint, coatings and specialty materials manufacturer, has launched a digitally-enabled service platform for commercial businesses with multiple locations nationwide.
PPG Services is for commercial property managers and third-party facility management companies. Using the platform, businesses can connect with professional painters and manage and schedule general painting maintenance projects.
“The painting service industry is evolving at a rapid pace, creating an opportunity for PPG to more efficiently manage complex customer needs,” Tim Knavish, PPG senior vice president, global architectural coatings, said. “Our customers are looking for a simpler resource to manage ongoing general painting maintenance across their multiple facilities. PPG Services builds on our long-term growth strategy to deliver differentiated digital solutions for key customers. The system simplifies the project management process; provides small and medium-sized painting firms access to more jobs; allows these painters to grow their business; and connects commercial customers with a marketplace of established professional painters.”
The platform is powered by Paintzen, an online tool that connects painters with potential clients for residential and multisite commercial painting projects.
Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PPG serves retail customers as well as customers in industrial and transportation markets and aftermarkets, and construction. In 2018, net sales totaled $15.4 billion.
