The Bedford County Development Association recently received approval for a $500,000 grant to support the expansion of the Bedford County Business Park in Bedford Township.
The grant will support the construction of a 12,000-square-foot building to provide space for future tenants in the Hess Business Center. The 39,000 square-foot Hess Business Center is currently near capacity.
“Securing $500,000 to aid in new construction of a 12,000 sq. foot building will be the catalyst that will drive economic growth, attract new businesses and provide family-sustaining jobs for our people and our region,” Sen. Wayne Langerholc (R-35) said. “I am pleased to announce this award that was the collaboration of hard work by many individuals.”
The grant was provided through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).
“The expansion of this business park will help drive innovation and entrepreneurship in Bedford County by creating a new space to help attract small businesses,” Gov. Tom Wolf said. “Small businesses play a vital role in supporting our state economy, and we’re proud to support their growth statewide.”
