Avantor names Corey Walker as new president of Laboratory Solutions business

Avantor, Inc., a life science tools company, recently named Corey Walker president of Avantor’s Laboratory Solutions business.

Walker was Avantor executive vice president from 2016 to 2020. He also led the Americas region as well as the global Biomaterials and Electronic Materials businesses.

Walker left Avantor and worked for other companies, most recently as CEO of ILC Dover, a biopharma and medical device end markets supplier.

He holds degrees from Brigham Young University and Harvard Business School.

“Corey’s deep knowledge of our end markets and industry, coupled with his familiarity with our organization and customers, makes him the ideal leader for our Laboratory Solutions business,” Michael Stubblefield, Avantor president and CEO, said. “We are very excited to welcome Corey back to Avantor to advance our business transformation and accelerate our growth strategy.”

Walker succeeds Randy Stone who served as executive vice president of Laboratory Solutions.

Avantor provides products and services to the life sciences and advanced technology industries. Its products are used in research, development and production activities in medicine, healthcare, and technology. It has more than 300,000 customer locations in 180 countries.

Since January, the company has used a new operating model that includes two global operating segments: Laboratory Solutions and Bioscience Production.
