Florida-based PRIME AE Group, an engineering and architecture firm, recently purchased Pittsburgh-based Klavon Design Associates, an architecture and planning firm.

The purchase strengthens PRIME AE’s design platform and multidisciplinary approach, and enhances its ability to deliver thoughtful, sustainable and community-centered solutions. The purchase also accelerates PRIME AE’s growth into a nationally-recognized planning and landscape architecture firm.

“By integrating Klavon’s capabilities, PRIME AE is expanding support for clients across multiple markets, particularly in landscape architecture, planning, sustainability, and federal work,” Kurt Bergman, PRIME AE CEO, said. “Klavon’s long-standing experience serving the Department of Defense and other federal agencies strengthens our overall team and expands opportunities for collaboration across the organization.”

“PRIME AE is committed to preserving what has made Klavon successful while providing additional resources and opportunities for our team and clients,” Dina Cole Klavon, Klavon Design Associates president, said. “This partnership positions Klavon for long-term growth while maintaining the values that define our work.”

PRIME AE Group operates in 10 states with more than 600 employees in 25 offices. It designs, develops, implements and maintains infrastructure and amenities. It focuses on sustainable design and natural resource conservation.
