The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry recently announced the winners of its first-ever Small Business of the Year Awards.

The awards honor small businesses driving economic growth that exhibit innovation, community engagement and entrepreneurial spirit. The Chamber selected Schnecksville-based Hocus Pocus Cleaning Services and Harrisburg-based The Lexis Group LLC as small businesses of the year. The companies receive a free PA Chamber Investor Membership for a year. Twenty other businesses were named as distinguished honorees.

“While the choice was difficult, we are thrilled to award with the top honors, as these incredible women-owned companies demonstrate smart leadership, strong culture, intentional community engagement, and commitment to innovation and operational excellence,” PA Chamber President and CEO Luke Bernstein said.

Hocus Pocus Cleaning Services has experienced a nearly 25 percent year-over-year revenue increase in 2025 and added 13 employees. The company also began offering new services such as after-hours commercial cleaning and pet care. It supports families facing housing insecurity and champions mental health and inclusion.

The Lexis Group provides engineering and site design services across the Mid-Atlantic. This year, the company added 61 employees and purchased a Pittsburgh-area firm and additional locations in Eastern Pennsylvania. Revenue has grown from $2,500 in October 2019 to slightly under $10 million in 2025.
