The Greater Reading Chamber Alliance recently awarded Douglassvile-based American Crane & Equipment Corp. (ACECO), a designer and manufacturer of electric overhead traveling cranes, wire rope hoists and custom engineered lifting equipment, with first place in the 2025 Greater Reading Business Excellence Awards. The company placed ninth in 2024.
The award recognizes exceptional business performance, community impact, and operational excellence in the greater Reading area. American Crane was recognized for its continually strong growth trajectory while maintaining deep roots in the local community as well as its dedication to innovation, quality products, and service.
American Crane placed in Category 1. The category is for businesses with $1 million or more in annual revenue over the past three years. There were 50 companies in the category.
