Axalta Coating Systems appoints next president of global industrial coatings

Philadelphia-based Axalta Coating Systems, an industrial coatings company, recently appointed Tim Bowes as the next president of global industrial coatings, effective Jan. 27.

Bowes is Axalta’s senior vice president and chief transformation officer. Prior to joining the company, he served as Meritor senior vice president and president of electrification, industrial, aftermarket, purchasing & supply chain; American Axle & Manufacturing senior vice president and casting business unit president, Transtar Industries CEO and president, and held
executive leadership positions at ITT Automotive and Intermet.

“Tim brings a wealth of experience to this role with his extensive background in managing industrial businesses across a number of industries and regions,” Chris Villavarayan, Axalta president and CEO, said. “He has played an important role in Axalta’s transformation over the past two years, driving significant advancements in strategy and operational excellence. As we look forward to Axalta’s exciting future, I am pleased that Tim has accepted the opportunity to lead our global industrial coatings business at such an important time.”

Bowes succeeds Shelley Bausch who is leaving the company.
