Lehigh Valley-based Air Products, an industrial gas company, recently announced that it is opening Project Delivery offices in Buffalo, N.Y., and Edmonton, Alberta.

The offices will further strengthen the collaboration between the company’s technical and large-project teams in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

The Buffalo office will employ approximately 75 people and is located approximately 300 miles from where Air Products plans to build, own and operate a $500 million, 35 metric ton daily, green liquid hydrogen facility. Air Products also will build a liquid hydrogen distribution and dispensing operation on the greenfield site.

The Alberta office will employ more than 40 people and will be located near the company’s two Edmonton hydrogen production facilities and its net-zero hydrogen energy complex.

The facility will make Edmonton the center of Canada’s hydrogen economy and will make Air Products the operator of one of the lowest-carbon-intensity hydrogen networks in the world.

“Given the increasing number of projects in the United States and Canada, and the evolving footprint of our industrial gas business, additional offices in these locations will place our business in a strong position,” Anthony Buzzeo, Air Products general manager – Americas, said. “We have strategically located these new execution offices close to our project sites, which has several benefits, including access to a strong technical talent pool and proximity to several distinguished engineering schools.”
