MSA Safety opens business center in Poland

MSA Safety, a safety products manufacturer and supplier, recently celebrated the grand opening of its EMEA Global Business Services Center in Warsaw, Poland.

The company has done business in Poland since 1996. The new center will provide specialized product support to MSA customers and channel partners in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. It allows the company to centralize a variety of business functions that support its international business goals.

The center employs 220 people working in customer service, finance and accounting, human resources, inside sales, IT, logistics, marketing, purchasing, and supply chain. The company plans to increase to approximately 300 employees.

“Our Warsaw Global Business Services Center is part of our continuous improvement plan to streamline our international footprint, increase in the company’s competitiveness, and invest in key areas like customer service,” Bob Leenen, MSA International president, said.

Headquartered north of Pittsburgh in Cranberry Township, MSA Safety was founded in 1914. t has manufacturing operations in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Approximately half of the company’s revenue comes from outside North America.

It has more than 40 international locations, including a Global Business Services Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, that supports the Asia Pacific region.
