Ansys, a simulation software company, recently announced its Ansys Gateway is available for customers.

“Working together with the company, we are excited about the launch of Ansys Gateway powered by AWS,” Bill Vass, AWS vice president of engineering, said. “Now, customers can access and deploy Ansys’ portfolio through AWS, helping customers remove barriers to scale globally, perform more simulations, and innovate faster.”

The tool, powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), allows customers to access, subscribe and configure Ansys products in one AWS workspace. Customers can manage and control computer-aided design/computer-aided engineering cloud consumption.

In addition, customers can bring their own licenses to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS and easily manage user access, permissions, data, and security.

Customers also reduce costs by only paying for cloud resources when they are being used.

“Our goal at Ansys has always been to make simulation accessible to as many startups, students, and businesses – large and small – as possible,” Shane Emswiler, Ansys senior vice president of products, said. “Providing easy, affordable access to Ansys’ solutions makes greater innovation and efficiency possible for all of our customers.”

Ansys Gateway is available in AWS Marketplace. The tool is part of a strategy to make simulation software more affordable.
