PIDA approves eight low-interest loans

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) recently approved eight low-interest loans for businesses in six counties.

Btec Solutions, through the Bucks County Economic Development Corp., was approved for a $2.3 million loan toward the purchase a 161,000-square-foot building. The company currently leases a portion of the building.

In addition, the company was approved for a $750,000 PIDA-Machinery and Equipment Loan Fund for the purchase and installation of machinery and equipment.

Jim Thorpe Site, through the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corp., was approved for a $1.8 loan toward the purchase and renovation of an 8,400-square-foot medical facility.

Equipment Reuse International, through the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission, in Erie County was approved for a $199,999 loan toward renovating its manufacturing facility.

Mulherins EM, through the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp. Financing Corp., was approved for a $200,000 loan toward the purchase of machinery and equipment for a restaurant space.

Penn Dairy, through the SEDA-Council of Governments in Lewisburg, was approved for a $400,000 loan toward the construction of a 9,260-square-foot addition to its food-production facility.

Weaver Development, through Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland, was approved for a $1.2 million loan toward the construction of two 15,000-square-foot industrial flex buildings.
