Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a shipbuilding company serving commercial and government customers, recently selected Ampco-Pittsburgh Corp.’s wholly-owned subsidiary Air & Liquid Systems Corp.’s Buffalo Pumps Division to supply the U.S. Navy with centrifugal pumps.
The contract has a ceiling value of $22 million if all options and award terms are exercised and covers six years. Shipments are expected to begin late next year.
The pumps will be used in guided-missile frigates for nine onboard services, including circulation pumps, seawater cooling, and titanium fire pumps.

Buffalo Pumps manufactures centrifugal pumps for the marine defense, industrial refrigeration, and fossil-fueled power generation industries. The company is based in New York.
Fincantieri Marine Group is based in Wisconsin.
