Aramark, a food, facilities, and uniform services company, recently committed to set enterprise-wide science-based targets within 24 months for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

We recognize the crucial role that businesses play in minimizing the risk climate change poses to our planet, and we are excited to join the growing group of leading companies setting emissions reduction targets in line with climate science.”
Earlier this year, the company announced the goal of reducing GHG emissions in the United States by 15 percent from a 2019 baseline by the end of 2025. The long-term goal is to reach net-zero value chain GHG emissions by no later than 2050.
The company’s goals are in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious emissions reductions targets in line with the latest climate science. The initiative released its Net-Zero Standard in October.
In January, the company will release a report on its progress on its Be Well. Do Well. sustainability plan.
