Nebraska company purchases Rapid Mold Solutions

Adler Industrial Solutions, a Nebraska-based company that acquires niche tool and die companies, recently completed its purchase of Erie-based Rapid Mold Solutions, a plastic injection molds and ancillary products manufacturer.

“Rapid Mold is an excellent acquisition for Adler,” Philipp Gruner, Adler CEO, said. “It expands our footprint in western Pennsylvania by adding additional services such as rapid prototyping, sampling and short production runs to our portfolio. With the founders of Rapid Mold staying on board, we are excited about leveraging their 20 plus years of experience in this industry in both mold design and manufacturing to bolster our team and the Adler portfolio of companies.”

The purchase is Adler’s second. The company believes western Pennsylvania to be situated geographically in an important region for American manufacturing and tool-making talent.

Rapid Mold produces products for a broad range of industries. It will benefit from the ability to invest more heavily in state-of-the-art machinery, improved software tools, expanding its ability to grow with its customers, and corporate functions.

Rapid Mold founders Scott Borstorff and Damian Kuzmin said selling the company was its pathway forward.

“We found that partner that will invest capital and management expertise into our business,” Borstorff said. “This will allow us to focus on what we do best and most enjoy, which I know will help unlock the company’s full potential.”
