PIDA approves three new loans

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) recently approved three new low-interest loans.

One of the loans is for Weaver’s Sanitation Service in Bedford County, through the Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission. It was approved for a $1.3 million loan to construct a 11,520-square-foot industrial facility.

The total project will cost $3.5 million. The company will retain 38 full-time jobs.

Also, HiMark Windows in Bucks County, through Bucks County Economic Development Corp., was approved for a $1 million loan to purchase machinery and equipment.

The total project will cost $2 million and allow the company to expand production. It will retain 204 jobs.

Finally, Quality Support in Westmoreland County, through Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland, was approved for a $579,072 loan to purchase industrial property located on 6.7 acres.

The total project will cost $1.4 million, and the company will retain 40 full-time positions and create 10 full-time jobs within three years.

“PIDA funding provides valuable assistance to support growing businesses with the varying costs associated with improving capabilities and efficiencies so they can continue to meet the demand of their consumers and grow even further,” Gov. Tom Wolf said. “Providing affordable resources that keep commonwealth businesses operating and Pennsylvanians working is a critical investment into the state’s economy.”
