The GIANT Co. recently announced plans to open four new locations in Philadelphia, with the new stores varying in size from 32,000 to 50,000 square feet.
Grand opening dates have not been announced.

The company currently operates five stores in Philadelphia.
The company’s total investments in the city are more than $135 million, including the four new locations, the GIANT Direct e-commerce fulfillment center slated to open in November, and the recently announced Cottman Avenue project.
The company opened Riverwalk GIANT in March. The two-level urban flagship store in Center City measures 65,000 square feet and is located on the second floor of a 25-floor residential tower.
GIANT is Pennsylvania’s second-largest private employer. It employs more than 27,000 people statewide, including approximately 600 in Philadelphia. An additional 700 people will be hired at the new locations.
