National Cart Co., a manufacturer of material handling products, recently opened a new facility in Wilkes-Barre.

National Cart’s third location brings the company’s total manufacturing and distribution space to more than 460,000 square feet.

“Our expansion into Pennsylvania will give us additional manufacturing and distribution space to better serve our east coast customers,” Rob Unnerstall, National Cart president and CEO, said. “This expansion makes logistical sense and demonstrates our commitment to our customers and the investment to grow our business. The three strategically placed locations will give National Cart a better opportunity to help our customers grow their business.”

National Cart’s Paul Deutsch will lead the Wilkes-Barre team. Deutsch will grow the business in the eastern United States, Unnerstall said.

National Cart was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in St. Charles, Mo., with a second location Reno, Nevada. The company designs, manufactures, and distributes material handling products, foodservice products, and store fixtures.

Its customers range from small operations to Fortune 100 companies, and its products serve many industries, including distribution/fulfillment, food service, government, home centers, industrial, mass retail, and supermarkets.
