Hershey-based ARM Group, a science and engineering consulting firm, recently purchased Complete Advanced Maintenance Co. (CAMCO) and Affordable Equipment Co. (AEC). The companies are based in Ebensburg.

The acquisition is beneficial to all three companies, according to ARM Group.

CAMCO’s and AEC’s customers will have access to ARM’s wholly-owned subsidiary, ARM EnerTech Associates LLC (AETA) in Johnstown. AETA will provide customers with electrical field services, in-house electrical testing, and repair services.

AETA provides electrical, mechanical and automation engineering and technical services while CAMCO tests and maintains electrical power systems and AEC buys and sells used and hard-to-find electrical equipment.

AETA and ARM also will provide AEC’s and CAMCO’s customers with a broad range of electrical engineering and automation services including air quality, civil and environmental engineering, energy services, geophysics, geotechnical, natural resources, quarry and mining services, regulatory compliance, and water resources.

ARM president Sam Morello also will serve as president of AEC and CAMCO. He is an electrical engineer and a registered professional engineer with more than 30 years of experience in technical services and industrial, utility and transportation electrical engineering.

AEC was founded in 1990 and employs four people.

CAMCO was founded in 1980 and employs approximately 46 people.
